When a Defendant exits prison by way of parole he/she leaves under very strict

regulations. At that time probably his/her worst fear is to do something that

would violate his/her parole and send him/her back to prison. There are many

different personalities among parole officers - some strict, some more lenient.

Some parole violations are minor and some are huge.

If a person violates and faces a parole violation hearing the consequences

can be frightening. Many attorneys will not even touch this type of case.

I not only touch them, I've defended many of them. These are tough

argument cases and yet I've won the majority of mine, sometimes by way

of settlement totally avoiding a hearing altogether.

I have found that the best way to deal with these situations is to get

involved in the case early, thereby nipping the problem in the bud. I do

not believe that prayer is the answer to solving and defending against

a parole violation case. However, I do believe that solid hard work

and a good working knowledge of the law involved, the infraction

alleged and the personalities involved that eventually win the day

and make me look like an attorney and a magician.
